PSX was established in 1969 and has continued to grow thanks to the employees that maintain the culture of the firm. As a family owned business, everyone pitches in to ensure we provide the excellent service that has made PSX successful.
PSX employees work as a team to ensure that the project meets the deadline, the customer has the answer they need, and that the PSX reputation is maintained as a reliable, professional, and trustworthy organization.
With six offices across the country, PSX does work nationally and internationally. Our technicians spend over 90% of their time in the field. Typically, PSX maintains standard hours from 8am to 5pm, however we are a service company, technicians are scheduled for on-call hours and after hours work as needed by our customers.
In 1969, our CEO and Founder Anthony Hutchison saw a need in the parking industry, a need for technology to enhance the user experience. He founded Parking Sales-Service Corporation in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
In 1991, Anthony’s son Paul joined the firm. As a family run business, Paul started as a service technician, learning the ropes from the beginning of developing customer relationships, maintaining them through project installations, and ongoing maintenance of the equipment and the customer relationship.
Over the years, Paul drove expansion and evolution. In 1996, the first branch office was established in Pittsburgh, soon to follow were offices in Cleveland in 1998 and Tampa in 2005. During these years, the firm’s offerings expanded to include a more comprehensive set of offerings to provide turnkey solutions.
In 2003, Paul reached new heights and was named company president. With this new appointment, an evaluation of the firm showed that the founding company name proved limited. Paul renamed the firm: PSX Inc.
PSX provides integrated solutions for customers who need to control and monitor vehicles and people within or surrounding their facility in multiple industries. Not only do we install new systems, we can integrate new features into existing systems and provide service for existing systems.
PSX has an exclusive partnership with Amano McGann to provide Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS). Our technicians receive manufacturer training to provide quality support for our customer’s PARCS solutions. These solutions can include integrating intercoms, access controls, and more.
Our security solutions provide physical security solutions capable of: access controls, surveillance cameras, CCTV, intercoms, crash barriers, alarm systems, turnstiles, gate operators, and more. These solutions come from a wide range of manufacturers to ensure our clients have access to the highest quality product.
Today, PSX continues to see growth with our newest branches opening in Houston, 2016, Denver, 2017 and New Orleans, 2019. Utilizing industry-leading products, PSX continues to advance in the market and expand our team.
