Breaking News on Hanwha Corp. Acquisition of Samsung Techwin
Hotly anticipated at this year’s STEP summit was breaking news on the future of Samsung Techwin as part of Hanwha Corp. In 2015, Hanwha Corp. acquired Samsung Techwin. Decisions on the new entity’s future branding, partnerships, products, and services were announced at the 2016 STEP Dealer Summit. Samsung Techwin made a press release just days before the Summit that it would apprise their STEP partners first before presenting decisions about their future identity as Hanwha Corp. at ISC West in April.
Today’s announcement to the industry press precedes our announcement that we will be making on Sunday at our dealer summit in Puerto Rico. We have 125 dealers that we want to acknowledge and inform, so that when they show up at ISC West in early April, there won’t be any surprises.
