Hanwha Techwin, the company behind Samsung and WiseNet branded surveillance technologies, has announced that it is joining the ranks of video security manufacturers offering HD quality video transmission over legacy analog cabling.
Based on Nextchip AHD technology, the new cameras are capable of transmitting 1080p HD video up to 500 meters over RG6 coaxial cable, and can do so at very affordable prices, because the equipment is relatively inexpensive and most customers will be re-using existing cabling.
