Here’s a simple way to add an access control door to your PSX access control system – Allegion’s Schlage AD-400 wireless lock set. The AD-400 is a single unit that combines all the hardware components required at the door into an efficient design that includes an optional mechanical keyway, electrified lock, credential reader, request-to-exit and -enter sensors, door position switch, and even a tamper guard if needed.
Even better, the AD-400 is constantly listening for central lockdown commands – such as from a Threat Level Escalation originating in the S2 NetBox software – but still manages to maintain its long battery life. Here is a list of features that we like about the AD-400:
-
Open Architecture platform
-
Panel interface module ensures seamless Wiegand communication with your system:
-
AD-400 with integrated RS-485 software providers will require the use of a PIM400-485 Panel Interface Module which can support up to 16 AD-400 devices
-
AD-400 in Wiegand systems will require the use of a PIM400-TD2 Panel Interface Module which can support up to 2 AD-400 devices and may require the optional dry-contact relay board (RLBD)
-
-
Non-invasive installations for historic buildings and sensitive areas
-
Secure encrypted data transmission
-
Unique communication protocols that won’t interfere with other wireless networks
-
Patent-pending wireless feature that enables efficient centralized lockdown in less than 10 seconds while still optimizing battery life up to 2 years
-
Available in cylindrical, mortise, mortise with deadbolt and exit trim
-
Compatible with major brands of master key systems
-
Additional Wireless Devices available for remote, gate, elevator and portable (mustering) applications
-
ANSI/BHMA A156.25, ANSI/BHMA Grade 1, UL 294, UL10C, FCC Part 15, ADA, RoHS
-
Field Upgraded to a FIPS 201-1 compliant solution by adding the FMK reader (sold separately) and by utilizing the most current firmware available
Some clients – particularly those with non-standard doors or proprietary cards and readers – will have trouble incorporating wireless locksets like the AD-400 into their environment. Check with your PSX account manager to identify potential hurdles.
