Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania PSX Branch Recognized at Site Ribbon Cutting
PSX’s Pittsburgh Branch office has reason to celebrate this week – the team was recognized during the ribbon cutting of the Allegheny County Housing Authority’s new Orchard Park property in Duquesne, PA on Wednesday. The Housing Authority and its guests were treated to a sunny, nearly cloudless day, as the various groups involved in the new housing plan shared their pride in the project with an official opening ceremony and catered lunch. The event kicked off with a list of distinguished speakers from all levels of government, and the firms involved with the construction of the new homes. Following the official remarks, the ribbon was cut and attendees were invited to walk through the beautiful new properties in Duquesne’s newest neighborhood.
Video Surveillance and Analytics
The neighborhood is protected by an integrated security solution – designed by PSX in conjunction with the Housing Authority and its general contractor, Mistick Construction – with major elements coming from the Samsung Techwin and S2 Security product sets. Housing Authority management and guests were both very excited with this project’s move into newer security technologies, such as HD video surveillance with a video analytics engine for faster detection of incidents. This site will now join the growing comprehensive security network being developed under the direction of ACHA Police Chief Michael Vogel, whose ambitious plan has provided ACHA officers with several critical tools in a very short period of time.
PSX Thanks Allegheny County Housing Authority
On behalf of PSX, Pittsburgh Branch Manager Scot MacTaggart said, “We sincerely appreciate Chief Vogel and the Allegheny County Housing Authority for their support in selecting PSX as their partner on this project, and for inviting us to be recognized in front of the community like this. Together, we are a great team. We’re improving on what they had in creative, cost-effective ways. That gives us a feeling of accomplishment that is a great reward, but the Housing Authority really went above and beyond that today, and we really can’t thank them enough for the way we’ve been received.”
